Health Reform Must Prioritize Optimal Public Health for All

Public health and healthcare are subjects that should never be politicized. NCAPIP recognizes that the Affordable Care Act (ACA, sometimes referred to as "ObamaCare") has shortcomings, but also recognizes the concrete successes it has had in providing essential health benefits and insurance to millions of previously uninsured Americans, regardless of preexisting conditions.

The following documents state NCAPIP's position on public health, health reform, and the Affordable Care Act.

NCAPIP Position on ACA (policy position)
NCAPIP Statement on Repeal of ACA (press release)
NCAPIP Response to Election and Concern on Public health (press release)

We recognize that optimal health for all is impossible without focused attention on vulnerable populations including Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. No matter the times we are in, that mission holds fast.
